The CMS uses a secure (encrypted) language, however it is loading information from a site that doesn’t use this secure language. So, IE wants to alert you to this conflict.

If you were working with financial information you should probably be concerned. However, you are probably just uploading some pictures and web information for a public website, and need not be concerned. Since IE doesn’t know the difference, it warns you. Follow the instructions below to tell IE that the content you are loading is “trusted”.

If you experience a security-related popup (alert) in Internet Explorer like this:



Only secure content is displayed.

You'll need to do this:

  1. Open Internet Explorer (IE)
  2. Select Tools from the top menu, then click on Internet Options in the dropdown list
    Internet Explorer 9:
    Click the gear icon
    then select "Internet options".

    Early Internet Explorer Versions:

    - OR -
    Tools menu
  3. Select the Security tab
  4. Click on the Trusted sites icon
  5. Click on the Sites button
  6. Uncheck Require server verification…
  7. Add the following website addresses to the list of Websites by typing each address into the Add this website to the zone: field and clicking the Add button:
    • http://yourdomain.com
    • http://www.yourdomain.com
  8. Click the Close button
  9. Click the Custom level... button
  10. Scroll about half way down the list
  11. Select Enable under the heading Display mixed content

  12. Click on the OK button
  13. If asked if "you are sure you want to change the settings for this zone", click on the Yes button
  14. Click on the OK button
